Warm Citrus Ginger Tea Smoothie

This well-rounded smoothie is warm, comfy, and spicy.

INGREDIENTS

3 cups (720 ml) fresh brewed lemon tea [or orange tea], warm
1 medium (150 g) apple, quartered, seeded
1 lemon, peeled
½ (60 g) orange
1 piece (5 g) fresh ginger root
3 tablespoons (45 ml) honey

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Run the Hot Soup Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 5 minutes 45 seconds.

Chef's Notes

Teas are an excellent way to stay hydrated. The added bonus with using the Vitamix is that the whole plant is used, truly maximising the fibre and nutrients.
